The Cheviot hut feels spacious, light and airy, helped along by the three double-glazed windows and the single double door. Throughout the hut, including the shower room, you’ll feel the electric underfloor heating that makes this shepherd hut perfect for all-year-round use. Use it to extend the staycation season on your site, or enjoy it at home no matter the weather.
Boasting a beautiful large central living area, the Cheviot gives phenomenal flexibility. Choose a cosy lounge space or full dining area or a little of both to make this hut as functional as it is comfortable. While the king-size bed has built-in storage and the hut itself features a built-in wardrobe, this spacious structure still has room for you to place a sofa bed to accommodate more guests.

A popular option we offer is the choice to upgrade your hut to sit on a steel chassis with a steerable turntable front axle. This allows you to move the hut more easily should you need to transport it, and it can be useful if your site has adverse climate conditions where a steel chassis may enhance the hut’s durability.
The Herdwick Off Grid – Packages from £3,999 + VAT
Take the Dorset off-grid! Our Herdwick cross package opens up locations for your hut where it may not have been possible in the past.
Electrical supply – To enable off-grid living, we replace the 240v system with 900 watts of solar panels and a 12v DC system. Solar power and a battery backup supply a 12v DC system that provides down-lighters throughout the hut. To complement this, we also install a 12v DC refrigerator and USB charge points.
Kitchen – We will replace the ceramic hob with a 2 burner LPG gas hob and an LPG oven fitted in place of the microwave, so there will be no compromise in kitchen capability when off-grid.
Water heating and heating – Installing an LPG instant hot water heater will provide all the hot water required. Heating options include woodburners, gas fires, or hot air systems.
Toilets – We can offer a composting toilet as a direct alternative or a range of other solutions around effluent capture and storage, dependent upon the extremity of the site and access.

We supply the Charlton & Jenrick, Go Eco 5 Adventurer, multi fuel stove.
